On Friday, Tripura Health Minister Sudip Rai Barman said there is some medical applications of cancer and can be used to cure many diseases including cancer.
While talking to the media at the state secretariat on Friday evening, Barman said that Canoeist has several medical applications.
He said that under a central law, Cannabis has been banned, which prohibits some substances, even though it is a herb plant. It is used for various medicinal purposes, including cancer treatment. Whether the central government is excluded from the banned list, they must accept a call. Once it is out, many states can legitimize it

He further said that the central government reserves the right to amend the national law which prohibits the cultivation, sale or use of the other crops with the drugs or other narcotics.
If the central government amended the law then there is no harm in it. Many states can accept it ", Roy Barman said.
Tripura Congress Vice President Heat De, reacting to the Canon Health Minister's remarks, said that the government must make Canoe law legal by checking and balancing only to make 'good use' for the benefit of the livestock and patients.
The former Left Front Government of Tripura was widely criticized for encouraging cancer cultivation during the 25-year rule of the ruling BJP, which ended in March 2018.
